About Stags Family Wellness
Our Practice Is Family-centered
Since 2005, family wellness and patient-centered attention have been the focus of our chiropractic care center. Stags Family Wellness is dedicated to working with Avon community members of every age. We welcome newborns, babies and children to pregnant moms, active adults and those in their golden years.
Our patients tell us that we have a reputation for excellence in delivering gentle adjustments that help them to get out of pain quickly and efficiently. We also place particular emphasis on the unique needs of our geriatric population and are highly skilled in the diverse treatment of peripheral neuropathy.
A Long Life Should Be a Quality Life
Our practice philosophy is simple: we feel that optimal health is all about quality of life.
- What purpose does it serve if you are only 58, but cannot bend down to pick up your grandchildren?
- How is it beneficial if you cannot climb stairs without excruciating knee pain?
- Where is the value of living to be 79 if you suffer from chronic diabetic nerve pain and have to use a walker?
- How can you enjoy the beauty of life if you endure migraine pain two or three times a week?
- We are not insensitive to the health plights of our friends and neighbors. In fact, it hurts us when we see people in wheelchairs and unable to walk without assistance. It grieves us when we see moms stressed out dealing with a hyperactive child.
We always think, “If only.” If only this ailing person had come in earlier to see us, perhaps there would have been a different outcome.
Life Is Meant to Be Fully Lived
It starts with an evaluation of your nervous system and its capacity to function at 100%. The greater the capacity for function, the better you feel, the more energy and vitality you express, the more well-being you embrace. We can tell you with certainty that the skilled and compassionate chiropractic treatment at our office can make the difference in your quality of life. It can make the difference in whether you stop using your cane. It can make the difference in whether or not you join your friends on that cruise. It can make the difference in your relationship with your kids and grandkids.
How Our Practice Is Different
There are many ways in which we stand out in the community. We would like you to know that one of our specialties is working with those who suffer from peripheral neuropathy. Dr. Tom is a certified neuropathy practitioner, and here are some of the symptoms that he commonly treats:
- Numbness, prickling or tingling in the feet or hands, which can spread upward into the legs and arms
- Sharp, jabbing, throbbing, freezing or burning pain
- Extreme sensitivity to touch and heat intolerance
- Lack of coordination and falling or muscle weakness
By the way, our practice name is based on a family nickname that Dr. Tom has had for years. This is a place where everybody knows your name; you’re always treated like family. We feature free parking and are conveniently located across the street from Walmart. Contact us today for a free consultation!
